EISA
Belinda Musanhu, Senior Programme Officer of Elections and Political Processes
Belinda is a Political Sociologist, holding degrees in Politics and Administration, and Sociology from the University of Zimbabwe. She has coordinated EISA election observer missions in Malawi, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Mauritius and DR Congo, and monitored elections in Swaziland, the United States and Zimbabwe. Before joining EISA, Ms Musanhu worked as the Election Monitoring and Observation Officer for the Zimbabwe Election Support Network (ZESN) where she coordinated the domestic monitoring of most major national elections that have been conducted in Zimbabwe since 2000. Since joining EISA, Ms Musanhu has provided technical assistance and training for domestic observers in Angola, Botswana, DR Congo and Namibia, as well providing support for EISA regional observer missions.
In addition she coordinates EISA’s participation in the ACE Electoral Knowledge Network, including overseeing the writing and uploading of EISA’s Topic Areas, and the development of ACE Component 3, which will be piloted under EISA’s coordination in Southern Africa.
