Guido Bertucci, Director of the Division for Public Economics and Public Administration, Department of Economic and Social Affairs, United Nations.

Mr. Bertucci has served the United Nations in a number of capacities for 25 years in the area of human resources, financial management and administration. He has written, served as a speaker and organized meetings on a number of topics including Public Economics and Economic Governance, Governance Systems and Institutions, the Civil Service, Human Resources Development, Information and Communication Technology for the Public Sector, Management Innovation and Development, Public and Private Partnerships, Regulatory Frameworks, Public Resources Mobilization and Management and Integrity and Accountability Systems.

He graduated with a degree in political science from the Catholic University of Milan, Italy and holds a post-graduate degree in administrative sciences from the same university. From 1971 to 1974 he was Associate Professor of Comparative Constitutionalism at the Catholic University of Milan. From 1992- 1993 he was an Associate Professor of Public Administration at New York University, Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service. In addition, he is on the Editorial Advisory Board of “Public Administration and Development” and a member of the Executive Council of the International Personnel Management Association. Mr. Bertucci is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD). He speaks fluently English, French, Italian and Spanish.
