An organisation may become an ACE Partner if it is selected according to the following criteria, invited, and accepts the following roles and responsibilities:
Selection Criteria
- In-house capacity to (a) lead a participatory process to update and maintain a topic area of the ACE Encyclopaedia, (b) contribute to the mission of the Practitioners’ Network, and (c) as required, provide capacity development-related support of ACE co-operating institutions in developing countries and transition economies;
- Well-recognised technical expertise and reputation in election, democracy and governance related field(s);
- Strong links with institutions working on election, democracy and governance-related areas at global, regional, sub-regional and/or national levels.
Roles & Responsibilities
- To designate an in-house focal point for ACE-related matters;
- To take leadership responsibility for updating knowledge services or networking products on the website;
- To set up a network of experts and practitioners charged with providing quality control and advice on the substantive content in the respective topic areas and regions and sub-regions;
- To participate in the meetings of the ACE Management Committee(AMC) and the ACE Steering Board (ASB);
- To jointly present proposals for new project funding;
- To periodically host meetings of the AMC or ASB;
- To promote the use of the website and knowledge networks among its key constituencies;
- To undertake from time-to-time quality control exercises of the respective knowledge services and networking products on the website.
