Election Course: IAJ Election Reporting course
The Institute for the Advancement of Journalism (IAJ) conducted a three-day course on Election Reporting from 28-30 January in Johannesburg, 10-12 February in Durban, 16-18 February in Cape Town, and on 23-25 February 2009 in Johannesburg.
Workshop: South African political parties training
EISA held a workshop for South African political parties in North West Province from 28th - 30th January 2009.
Seminar: Women's participation and representation in the conduct of public affairs
The seminar launched a national Plan of action to increase women's participation and representation in the conduct of public affairs in Madagascar on 26 January 2009, in Hotel Carlton, Antananarivo.

EISA conducted two workshops for political parties in the southern districts of Qachas' Nek and Quthing in Lesotho from 19th - 21st January 2009.
Civil Society - Parliament Engagement
EISA held a parliamentarian's workshop in Antananarivo, Madagascar as well as a dialogue between parliamentarians and civil society organisations on 6 November.

EISA held two back to back workshops for political parties in Mokhotlong Districts in Lesotho from 10th to 15th November 2008.
Exercise: EISA - Mozambique Parallel Vote tabulation exercise
Mozambique held its 3rd municipal elections on 19 November 2008 and EISA in collaboration with the Electoral Observatory, a local coalition of eight civil society organisations, will conduct a parallel vote tabulation exercise in 13 of the 43 municipal races.

EISA held a workshop for South African political parties on 17 - 19 November 2008, in Polokwane Province, South Africa. The workshop is the first of a series of provincial based capacity building workshops.
