Canada: The Electoral Participation of Young Canadians (2006) This paper has been prepared to help Elections Canada refine its elector outreach strategies with respect to young Canadians. It first reviews recent literature on the electoral participation of young people and identifies significant research gaps. It then describes outreach strategies targeted at young electors in other jurisdictions and identifies applicable lessons for Canada.
