I am currently in charge of US election reform efforts at the Center for Democracy and Election Management at American University. My specific areas of expertise are in voting rights and boundary delimitation. For five years I was the redistricting, GIS and demography expert of the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division, US Department of Justice. My Ph.D. is in political geography from the University of Iowa. I have done some work overseas and am interested in extending my experience.
