I have been working in the field of elections on a full time basis for 8 years. Of those, 6 years were spent as an electoral operations practitioner within the South African Electoral Commission.My electoral experience has also been broadened through the privilege I have had of observing elections in several of the Southern African Countries as well as abroad in Australia, Mexico and Germany.In my current position with the South African Commission, I manage the operations for the province of Gauteng. This is essentially a programme management role which includes the management of the whole election implementation function (from delimitation to vote counting), democracy development programmes and by-elections.
