This pre-election statement was released by an international delegation set up by the National Democratic Institute to visit Lesotho in the weeks leading to the February 17 elections. This delegation traveled around the country and met with the major stakeholders to assess the political environment surrounding the parliamentary elections. The statement concluded that there are all the necessary conditions for credible, peaceful and legitimate elections.
