This document was drafted and released by Jong-Woo Lee, Secretary-General of the National Election Commission of the Republic of Korea. This paper studies the participation of immigrants in different types of elections in the country: national and local elections, as well as referenda. The paper also makes a comparison with rules and regulations applied in other countries.
