Instituto Nacional Electoral - Mexico
National Electoral Institute of Mexico (INE) (which replaced the Federal Electoral Institute [IFE] in 2014 as a result of a constitutional reform) is an autonomous, independent, and specialized public body, responsible for the State function of organizing and overseeing federal elections in Mexico, in addition to collaborating with local electoral management bodies to jointly conduct local elections.
The INE inherited and expanded most of IFE´s powers, resources and abilities, including its commitment to actively display an international cooperation policy aimed at promote democratic principles and practices in the field of elections.
INE proudly collaborates in ACE-related activities since 1998, and became a full fledge partner institution of the current ACE Electoral Knowledge Network in 2004.
