'123-Year-Old Voter' Raises Kosovo Poll Concerns (Eurasia Review, 2010)
Balkan Insight has uncovered evidence that a 123-year-old woman and a 120-year-old man voted in both rounds of November’s local elections in Kosovo, raising concerns of possible electoral abuse in the country’s outdated electoral roll.

Head of the Afghan Independent Election Commission, Mr Fazil Ahmad Manawi said votes cast at 39 polling centres have been cancelled after evidence of fraud found. Ballots cast at another 38 polling centres will also be recounted due to suspicion of fraud. It is reported that the detected fraud ranged from ballot-stuffing to multiple voting.

Mozambique: Despite Some Incidents Campaign Remains Calm and Good-Tempered, AllAfrica (2014)
Despite some incidents of violence in the provinces of Gaza and Nampula, the electoral campaign remains calm at most parts of the country. Furthermore, after 26 boxes of ballot papers were stolen, the National Electoral Commission (CNE) ordered a replacement. Some cases of state vehicles used for the campaign of the ruling party have also been reported.

This article discusses the special measures implemented to prevent election-related violence in the assembly elections in Bihar, India. In this state, Maoists threatened to disrupt the upcoming assembly elections. The Election Commission decided to deploy central para-military forces and armed police from other states, and to hold the polling in a very restricted period of time (from 7.00 am to 3.00 pm). Levels of election-related violence in the country are gradually decreasing: in 2001, 191 people lost their lives in the local elections, but in 2004 only 19 people died.
