14 October 2008-- In a final report covering the period 1 January-31 August 2008, the Eritrea Ethiopia Boundary Commission (EEBC) said the mandate given to it has been fulfilled and that no further activity on its part is called for except for the return of physical assets to the United Nations and the preparation of final accounts.

The US supports that. At the same we have made clear to our interlocutors the importance of establishing an atmosphere and an environment in Ethiopia that enables the full participation of the full range of political actors in Ethiopia in a way that would lead to a free and fair elections,” Wycoff said during a press conference that was held at the US embassy in Addis Ababa.
