Question:Following the close of the voting, where are the votes first sorted and counted?
Answer: a. The polling stations
Comments: The Chairperson of the Election immediately upon the completion of the voting, arranges for the election and counting of the votes on the spot in each polling place in the presence of the candidates or of the appointed written representatives of the parties

When are ballots recounted?
Question:Under what conditions are ballots recounted?
Answer(s): e. Court order
Comments: An election petition may be presented on the ground that: (a) a person was elected who was not qualified or was disqualified at the time of the election (b) a corrupt or illegal practice was committed in connection with the election (c) the election was affected by non-compliance with the provisions of the Law (d) a person was elected knowing that such person had, within the preceding seven years, been convicted or found guilty of a corrupt practice by a Court or by a report of an Electoral Court (e) a candidate at the time of his election was not eligible (f) an objection to nomination papers ought not to have been accepted or the declaration of such papers as invalid under Article 21 ought not to have been made
