Edad para votar

Pregunta¿Cuál es la edad mínima para votar en las elecciones nacionales?
Answer: c. 18
Respuestas 18 years The definition of the qualifying date in Section 14 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, enacted in pursuance to the provision of Article 326, is faulty as it fixes the date as 1st of January 'of the year in which it (the role) is so prepared or revised'. If the rolls are not revised for several years, many citizens although past the age of eighteen years are still not eligible to be on the rolls because the 'qualifying date' required by section 19 has been tied down with these processes.

Registro electoral obligatorio

Pregunta¿Es obligatorio constar en el registro electoral?
Answer: b. No
Respuestas Based on a door-to-door survey, the names of those surveyed are put in the voter register "automatically" by the surveyor. The voter does not have to apply to be on the voter register and in that sense it is automatic.
