Criteria for allocating free broadcast time
Question: What are the criteria for allocating free broadcast time and/or free printed advertisement space to political parties?
Answer(s):
c . Based on result of previous election
Comments:
Airtime given to each of the political actors is calculated according to their level of representation, i.e., 50% of the airtime is reserved for political parties having their own group in the Chamber of representatives or Councillors, 30% is allocated to parties represented in one of the two Chambers but not having enough members to constitute a group and the remaining 20% is shared between candidates / alliances not represented in one of the two Chambers (CoE).
