In general, political advertisement can be done through public or private broadcasters. Also, the media (public or private) must create equal conditions for registered candidates. The private media are not obliged to provide candidates with free coverage. Electoral campaigning is prohibited on state-owned broadcasters.

Every candidate will have equal space to hang election posters and banners. The law prohibits the holding of festivals or gatherings, or the distribution of gifts near ballot stations, as this will be considered an illegal approach to electors. Equality of media coverage is guaranteed for all candidates under the law.

OSCE/ODIHR's final report, Marth 19th, 2023: The CEC implemented a nationwide cascade training programme for the lower-level election commissions as well as for political parties, media and civil society organizations. The CEC provided extensive and meaningful voter information in Kazakh and Russian through its website, YouTube and Telegram channels, billboards and broadcast media, informing voters on the date of the elections and several aspects of the electoral process. A total of 11 different advertisements were broadcast in Russian and Kazakh languages, most of them supplemented with a sign language interpretation. The TEC organized events for first-time high school and university voters.

"Voter education efforts by the REC were very limited, visible primarily on its website, social networks and, to a limited extent, in the broadcast and online media. Some civil society organizations, most notably Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (CRTA), posted voter educational material on billboards and in media platforms focusing primarily on raising awareness of electoral offences and the right to vote in secret"

"In order to encourage voter registration, ZEC prepared television and radio programmes to educate the people on the need to register themselves as voters. It also published posters and distributed them in various parts of the country. [Radio Zanzibar] and Television Zanzibar have also prepared their own programmes to educate and sesitise the people and to urge them to register as voters. The Zanzibar Legal Service Centre prepared a series of weekly radio programmes with Radio Tanzania Zanzibar and political parties use their mass rallies to urge members to register for the 1995 election."
