Question:Are there any Legal Provisions for Optional Referendums at the national level?
Answer: a. Yes
Comments: The President of the Republic may decide to submit to referendum any bill or proposal regarding constitutional amendments. In this case, the text is adopted by a simple majority of votes cast. In addition, the President of the Republic, after consultation with the President of the Constitutional Court, the President of the National Assembly and the President of the Senate, may submit to a referendum any reform bill that could have national implications.
