Authority responsible for voter registration
Question:Which is the authority responsible for the registration of voters for national elections?
Answer: c. Local Government Authority
Comments: The electoral lists are prepared and revised in each municipality under the control of an administrative committee consisting of the following election: - A judge appointed by the president of the court's territorial jurisdiction, President, - President of the Municipal People's Congress, member, - The general secretary of the municipality, member, - Two voters of the municipality, appointed by the president of the commission members. The commission meets at the seat of the municipality convened by its chairman.

Comments: All Algerians eligible to vote must be registered. Those who fall under the following will not be registered: -one who worked against Algeria in the revolution -one who has been convicted of a crime -one who is serving a term of imprisonment and falls under Articles 9, 9a and 14 of the Criminal Code -one who has declared bankruptcy and not yet been rehabilitated
