Delimitation of constituencies
Question:Are constituencies delimited for election purposes?
Answer: a. Yes
Comments: For the elections of the members of the National Assembly and Commune Councils, the existing provincial and commune boundaries are used for electoral purposes. For the election of the members of the Senate, new constituencies are delimited by the combination of one or more provincial boundaries.

Question:On what criteria are the boundaries drawn?
Answer(s): d. Conformity with local jurisdiction boundaries
Comments: Members of the National Assembly shall be chosen by a general election, by means of a free, fair, universal, direct, equal and secret ballot. The electoral system shall be proportional, with provincial and municipal representation.
