Answer(s): a. Citizenship
b. Period of Residence
Comments: Citizenship, in addition to a residence of 9 months in Palau, and 3 months in the district within which one registers. Exceptions to the registration requirement can be made for otherwise qualified voters.

Question:Is it compulsory to be on the voters register?
Answer: b. No
Comments: No provisions for compulsory registration. Provisions are made for registration for all qualified voters, in addition to a provision requiring registration as a prerequisite to voting. Must be on voter registration, however, in order to vote.
