Comments: For purposes of validation of the provisions of the proposed Constitution, there shall be a referendum to be organized, conducted and supervised by the National Electoral Commission in collaboration with the Zanzibar Electoral Commission.

Comments: The majority of votes given in the referendum shall determine the decision of the votes on such question in the referendum and the referendum results declared by the National Electoral Commission shall be binding on the Government of the United Republic and the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.
