Question:Following the close of the voting, where are the votes first sorted and counted?
Answer: a. The polling stations
Comments: 66. (1) Votes shall be counted at the polling stati on at which those votes were cast, except when in the interest of ensuring a free and fair election, the Commission, after consultation with the contesting parties or their agents, determines that those votes be counted at another counting venue.
