Answer: b. Directly elected in general elections, absolute majority (with 2nd round if necessary)
Comments: The President is both the head of state and the head of government and is elected directly by an absolute majority of votes. If none of the candidates receives an absolute majority of votes, there is a second round of elections for the two candidates who have received the highest number of votes in the first round.
