Head of State
Question:How is the Head of State selected?
Answer(s): a. Head of State is the Head of Government
c. Directly elected in general elections (absolute majority with 2nd round if necessary)
Comments: Article 6A(3): Any candidate for President who obtains more than fifty percent of the total number of votes during the general election and in addition polls at least twenty percent of the votes in more than half of the total number of provinces in Indonesia shall be elected President. (4): In the event that there is no candidate for President elected, the two candidates that have obtained the first and second highest total of votes in the general election shall participate in a second round, and the candidate who receives the highest number of votes shall be elected President.
