 nPurpose and Objectives of the conference. \n\nThis conference seeks t
 o create a forum for a critical\, practical and constructive reflectio
 n on Africa’s electoral democracy and election management. The prima
 ry aim is to identifying and account for weaknesses and successes in d
 ifferent countries and regions.  This will then create a platform for 
 experts\, public policy makers\, political leaders\, practitioners and
  opinion-makers to share their knowledge and experiences on the subjec
 t.  The conference will also expose University of South Africa’s (Un
 isa) election management programme trainees and graduates to salient i
 deas on election management and electoral democracy while at the same 
 time enriching the training programme in its continuing work.  The ult
 imate aim is to use knowledge to entrench good practices of electoral 
 democracy for advancement of democracy in Africa.
