The Kingdom of Bahrain is divided into four governorates and each electoral area is divided into a number of constituencies. In total, there are 40 electoral constituencies. The Capital Governorate consists of 10 constituencies, the Muharraq Governorate has eight constituencies, the Northern Governorate 12 and the South Governorate 10 constituencies.
