Timeline for a question to be answered
If a question is deemed relevant, it is normally answered within eight (8) working days, divided as follows:
- within one (1) working day from submission, ACE Network Facilitators
assess whether a question is relevant or irrelevant. If relevant, Facilitators categorize the question according to the topic area/s it pertains and inform members of the Practitioners’ Network of the corresponding Thematic Group of the submission of a new question. For example: if a question on “Voter Registration” has been received, it is then forwarded to the Thematic Group gathering those members of the Network who, at the time of registration, have selected “Voter Registration” as one of their preferred thematic areas of expertise and interest; - members of the relevant Thematic Group of the Practitioners’ Network have five (5) working days to provide their answers or comments to a question. After that, Network Facilitators close the question for comments and withdrawn it from the web interface;
- Network Facilitators have two (2) working days to review the commentaries made by the experts and aggregate them into a consolidated reply. The consolidated reply is then posted on the ACE website in the Archive of Questions & Answers.
At this stage, the user who asked the original question is informed that the answer has been posted online in the Archive of Questions & Answers. Through a link provided in the email, the user is invited to retrieve it from the archive.
