Respuestas A bicameral system was established in 1996. 325-member House of Representatives (Majlis al-Nawab), popularly elected for five years. 270-member House of Counsellors (Majlis al-Mustacharin) with a nine-year term of office. The members are indirectly elected by members of electoral colleges for nine-year terms. Ninety of them are renewed every three years.
