Comments:	If not less than 200,000 electors request it, the President of Georgia can hold a referendum at the national level. If the initiative to hold a referendum comes from the voters, an initiative group must be established. The group must provide each member’s first name, last name, place of residence, and contact phone number. The initiative group is responsible for clearly and specifically formulating the issues proposed for the referendum. The group must then apply to the Central Election Commission to register the proposed issue for the referendum.
