Criteria for allocating free broadcast time
Question:What are the criteria for allocating free broadcast time and/or free printed advertisement space to political parties?
Answer(s): a. Equal regardless of size of party and previous performance
c. Based on result of previous election
Comments: Half of the total time available is distributed equally among all political parties that have nominated candidates. The other half is distributed in proportion to the representation that each political party has in Congress. Political parties participating for the first time in an election are allocated equal time to the party with the lowest representation in the Congress.
