DID YOU KNOW?

In 1961, the country held a referendum about joining Nigeria or creating the republic of Cameroon.

Politics of Cameroon takes place in a framework of a unitary presidential republic, whereby the President of Cameroon is both head of state and head of government, and of a pluriform multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and the National Assembly of Cameroon.
