EU Election Observation Mission to Sudan
Following an invitation, the European Union decided to establish a mission to observe the Southern Sudan Referendum, due to be held on January 9th, 2011.
Veronique De Keyser, a Belgian Member of the European Parliament, is the Chief Observer of the European Union Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) for the Southern Sudan Referendum, which comprises approximately 110 observers and analysts from the 27 EU Member States, as well as Norway, Switzerland and Canada.

Sudan Domestic Election Monitoring and Observation Programme (SuDEMOP), is organizing a two-day stakeholders’ public dialogue aimed at bridging the existing information gap on Sudan’s forthcoming referendum between political parties, civil society and referendum administration members.

Sudan Political Parties Workshop
EISA held a capacity building workshop for Sudan political parties. The purpose of this workshop was to enhance the capacity of political parties to participate positively in the electoral process by providing appropriate skills and knowledge through theoretical information, debate, interactive practical sessions using case studies, scenarios and discussion.
