Comments: Section B1: 1) Members of the House of Representatives of the States General shall be elected by persons who are Dutch nationals on nomination day and have attained the age of eighteen years on polling day, with the exception of persons who have their actual place of residence in Aruba, Curaçao or St Maarten on nomination day. 2) This exception shall not apply to: (a) Dutch nationals who have been resident in the Netherlands for at least ten years; (b) Dutch nationals who are employed in the Dutch public service in Aruba, Curaçao or St Maarten and their Dutch spouses or partners and children, in so far as they have joint households.
