ACE Regional Centres

The Regional Dimension of ACE

The ACE Regional Electoral Resource Centres enhance the quality, value and use of the outputs generated by the ACE Practitioner’s Network. These Regional Centres, located in geographically strategic places around the world, act as regional hubs collecting and processing election-related information. They ensure that the electoral expertise that exists within the regions is included in ACE and shared between countries and practitioners rather than kept isolated from the rest of the world. In this regard, regional centres also closely cooperate with BRIDGE, participating in and promoting professional development courses in election administration.

The Regional Centres make sure that the knowledge available within ACE is disseminated and applied where it is best needed, keeping in mind the specific peculiarities of their respective regions. They provide up to date information on elections and electoral processes, identify experts as well as interesting electoral topics in the region, manage and control data relating to electoral events in the region, and ensure effective dissemination of the knowledge that exists within ACE. The Regional Centres are also responsible for updating the country specific information available on ACE (see the Regions & Countries section)
