Somaliland: Jamal to contest next presidential election on UCID ticket, Somaliland Press (2012)

The chairman of Somaliland Welfare and Justice Party (UCID) has officially relinquished his post as the presidential nominee of UCID paving the way for the youthful International Banker cum politician Jamal Ali Hussein to be the new flag bearer of the party in the forthcoming presidential election that is expected to be held in the country in 2015.

The National Electoral Commission will announce the date for the polls as soon as we obtain the remaining 75% of the funds required to finance the polls, hirsi said.
