- This article reports on the appeal of the Serbian government to all Serbs living in Kosovo. The Serbian government called for a boycott of the December general elections and invited the 100,000 Serbs living in the country not to vote. The government in Kosovo called early elections last month.
- Audio files raise new questions about Afghan elections, The Washington Post (2010)
- This article reports on evidence of fraud in the Afghan parliamentary elections. The Afghan television aired some audio files of a phone call between an election official and (probably) cabinet minister Ismail Khan. In the conversation, the election official was instructed about which candidates should be declared winners. This evidence is now seriously damaging the credibility of the Independent Election Commission.

- Brazilian runoff election watched by record 187 foreign observers, Xinhua (2010)
- This article reports on the electoral observers that monitored the runoff elections in Brazil. In the October 31 poll, a record number of foreign officials (187 from 45 different countries) observed the voting operations, attracted mostly by the the use of electronic voting machines and biometric machines to identify voters by finger prints. Since 2002 , an average of 20 electoral observers monitored the country's elections.
