- Voter Education Campaign in Tajikistan
- Before Tajikistan’s presidential elections in 2013, the OSCE Office in Tajikistan, in co-operation with the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda conducted a door-to-door, person-to-person voter education campaign throughout the country. The campaign targeted women and potential first-time voters. From 22 October until 4 November, 60 voter educators reached 115,037 voters explaining procedures for casting a ballot and that proxy voting is prohibited.

- Ireland: Women TDs opposed to quota criticised, The Irish Times (2010)
- This article discusses the reaction of the National Women's Council to the opposition to introduce mandatory gender quotas for political parties. Yesterday, women TDs criticized the quota system, and stated that this is not the right way to solve the problem. The National Women's Council replied that this shows a lack of solidarity with other women, and believes that women opposing this system are not able to suggest any other measure. There are only 23 women TDs in 166-seat Dáil (13%).

A 2009 report of the Joint Oireachtas Justice Committee, concluded that in Ireland the “overall masculine image of politics” remains as a powerful as ever.

- USA: Efforts to prevent voter fraud draw scrutiny, NPR (2010)
- This article reports on the proliferation of new citizens groups created to monitor elections in the United States. These groups, who have been campaigning as well, will set up surveillance teams outside polling stations to prevent voter fraud (even offering rewards for information). Some people, however, are concerned about their real intentions and believe that voters will be intimidated and discouraged from voting. The New York University Law School is monitoring this phenomenon. The Democratic Party filed a suit against one of this group in Texas, the King Street Patriots, claiming that they target Democratic voters and minorities.
