This article reports that about 400 policemen will be deployed at the venue for party list candidates registration, which starts from 19-23 May 2011. It is also reported that no outsiders will be allowed inside the building but the representatives of political parties, EC staff, and news reporters who registered their attendance in advance.

This article reports that the advertising industry expects up t 1 million Baht in campaign ad spending by political parties in the run-up to the general election. It also highlights the use of social media amongst candidates. At least 60 per cent is expected to be spent through broadcast media such as free TV and radio, while 30 per cent will be spent on print and social media and 8 to 10 per cent on outdoor advertising such as billboards.
