It is reported that protesters marched to the city centre today against Africa's last absolute monarch, King Mswati III. Congress of South African Trade Union in South Africa is reported to have sent a delegation to take part in the protests. Protest marches were also being planned in South African cities on Friday.

Serbian nationalist parties within the Montenegrin parliament are refusing to allow the EU membership to move forward unless Montenegro agrees to change its national language to Serbian. Slovenian PM calls for deal over early elections, The New Age (2011)

In Slovenia the next regular elections were planned for autumn 2012 but PM Borut Pahor urged all political sides in the tiny EU state to reach an agreement on early elections, after his coalition suffered a new blow last week. According to Slovenian legislation, the president can call snap elections only after three failed attempts by parliament to appoint a prime minister.
