Okechukwu Fintan Ndeche

Okechukwu Ndeche (55) is with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and presently the Director of Planning and Monitoring. He was the Director of Operations from 2007 to 2013. He graduated Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in political science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (1982) and the University of Lagos (1985) respectively and also Bachelor of Laws from Nnamdi Azikiwe Unversity, Awka (2000). He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2002. He was the secretary of the Task Force set up by INEC in 2014 to ensure effective participation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the 2015 General Elections in Nigeria. He participated in the ECOWAS Election Observer Missions to Cape Verde (2011); Cote d’Ivoire (2011); Sierra Leone (2012); and Ghana (2012). He was also on the EISA Election Observer to the 2016 Ugandan General Elections. His interest and skills are in electoral operational and strategic planning processes. Okechukwu Ndeche lives in Abuja, Nigeria and is married with children.
