تعليقات There are cases of mandatory recount where, after the official addition of the votes: there is an equality of votes between two or more candidates obtaining the highest number of votes or the number of votes separating the candidate receiving the highest number of votes and any other candidate is less than fifty the returning officer shall, if requested in writing by a candidate, a candidate's agent or a voter registered to vote in the constituency, in the presence of a senior police officer recount the votes after giving a written notice of the intention to recount to all interested parties. The law also allows any candidates to apply to the Chief Magistrate for a recount within 70 days after the date on which a returning officer has declared as elected the candidate who has obtained the highest number of votes.
