The Independent National Electoral Commission conducts at least once a year an internal audit to ensure the correct application of the rules on the budget management. At the request of the government or the financial and technical partners of the CENI, an annual external audit is performed by an auditor recruited through open tender. The report from this audit shall be forwarded to the President of the Republic, the National Assembly and the Court of Auditors and published in the Official Gazette of the Republic.
