Sarah Johnson

Sarah Johnson is Assistant Director of the Democracy Program, where she manages election observation and governance programs worldwide, with a concentration in the Middle East and North Africa over the past several years. In previous roles, she designed, implemented, and managed democracy and governance programming in Morocco and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and has professional experience working on political party building, communications, women's political participation, and public opinion research in the MENA region, Europe and US. Prior to joining the Center, Ms. Johnson served as a Resident Country Director for the International Republican Institute and was a Senior Analyst for Greenberg Quinlin Rosner. Ms. Johnson holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Master's degree in European Sciences from the Humboldt and Free Universities in Berlin, Germany.
