DEEPAK NEGI

I am a Social entrepreneur and an alumnus of Nasikrao Tirpude College of Social Work, Nagpur. MSW by education, I have overall 20 years of mixed work experience, in the social and corporate sector. I had actively participated in the national movement India Against Corruption spearheaded by famous social activist Mr. Anna Hazare to bring Jan Lokpal Bill (Citizens Ombudsman Bill) to India. I have spearheaded the flagship Election Watch program of ADR in the state of Maharashtra for 5 years from 2014-2109. In this role as a team member, I have played a vital role in the creation & dissemination of 70+ election watch reports, analyzing data of 50,000+ contesting candidates, which resulted in winning a democracy award on ‘’Informed Voting and Creating Voter Awareness’’, each from the Election Commission of Maharashtra & Election Commission of India. I have co-authored a book titled ''A Comparative Analysis of Local Body Elections in Maharashtra during 2015-2018'' and created a base paper on electoral & political reforms. I consider myself a critical & out of box thinker having a creative mind in solving complex problems. I am nowadays creating content on the Indian general elections 2024, influencing & building public opinion on the issues important to make India's democracy vibrant.
