Corneille Nangaa

Corneille Nangaa has 11 years of international experience, with seven of them focused on democracy and elections. Nangaa currently serves as IFES’ Chief of Party in Cote d’Ivoire. He coordinates activities while establishing and maintaining critical and strategic relationships with international and domestic donors and key stakeholders. Above all, he brings support and technical assistance to the Ivorian electoral management body. Nangaa is a BRIDGE Expert facilitator. He has previously held positions with IFES, International IDEA and European Union working in the DR Congo, Senegal, Ghana, Niger, Burundi, Gabon, Kenya and Cameroon as a research and training consultant. He started working for elections with the DR Congo Independent Electoral Commission in 2004 as a national technical supervisor, coordinating operations in the field. Nangaa also coordinated partnerships with the UN Mission in Congo (Ituri region) for the voter registration process in 2005. He was in charge of polling operations and vote consolidation in the Kasai, Equateur and Kinshasa regions. He was appointed as an ACE Project coordinator in central Africa in 2007 and championed the establishment of the first “Central Africa EMBs Network” in 2010 with nine countries in the region. Nangaa is a graduate of the University of Kinshasa in Public and Industrial economy. He also possesses a certificate from the Leadership College in Accra/Ghana. Nangaa speaks French, English, Lingala and Swahili.
