Johanna WilkieJohanna Wilkie serves as a member of the Elections and Political Transitions (EPT) Team in USAID's Center of Excellence on Democracy, Human Rights and Governance. She manages the Elections and Political Processes Fund, a resource that USAID field missions can access for urgent programming needs for electoral processes and political transitions in developing countries. She also works on programming and research regarding women's political participation and provides technical assistance to field missions on elections-related programming. She was the Center's Point of Contact regarding democracy and governance programming in Kenya during that country's 2013 electoral process, and she co-authored a public assessment of five years of USAID programming leading up to that poll, titled "USAID Support for Kenya’s 2013 Elections: Rapid Assessment Review." Johanna currently lives in Nairobi, Kenya. She completed her Master of Science in Foreign Service at Georgetown University, concentrating in International Development, and also has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. |
