            Rasto KuzelRasťo Kuzel is a Slovak national and holds a university degree from the Philosophical Faculty of Bratislava’s Comenius University and spent almost a year at the State University of New York, Oswego. He is a media analyst and expert with over 11 years of international experience. Since 1998, Rasťo has been the Executive Director of MEMO 98, a proficient media institution with extensive experience of delivering media monitoring on behalf of international institutions as well as technical assistance to civil-society groups. He has worked as deputy head of mission, media analyst, consultant and trainer, participating in 26 OSCE/ODIHR election observation missions, most recently in Serbia, Georgia and Azerbaijan. Rasťo has also worked in more than 50 election and media-related projects and missions in the framework of the UNDP, Council of Europe, IFES, NED, NDI and IMS, most recently in Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova and Burma. In 2008, Rasťo worked for the OSCE’s Freedom of the Media Representative as a legal consultant, doing a legal review of the draft Slovak Press Act and is also a contributor to the OSCE/ODIHR Guidelines on Media Analysis for Electoral Observation Missions.  |
