Aghasi Yesayan

In 1993 Aghasi Yesayan graduated from the Yerevan State University, Department of Oriental Studies. In 1990-1991 he studied at the Institute of Arabic Language in Damascus, Syria and in 1991-1992 he completed Political Science courses organized by American University in Beirut and Haigazian University. In 1993-1994 he worked at USAID funded projects of Save the Children and United Methodist Committee on Relief. In 1994-1997 he worked at the United Nations Development Program office in Armenia as program analyst. In 1997-1999 he joined the Armenian Foreign Ministry and worked as Head of Publication Department and Editor-in-Chief of the Diplomatic Bulletin. In 1997 he also worked at the Armenian Mission at the United Nations in New York as a delegate to the 52nd session of the UN General Assembly. In 1999-2005 he was involved in elections and civic education related project and worked at the UNDP as National Coordinator for support to democratic processes, IFES Deputy Project Director in a civic education project. Since 2005 he is Senior Elections Expert at IFES/Armenia. He is author of a number of articles published by UNDP, IDEA International and the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
