The electoral authority should be independent from government and accountable to and receive funding from the National Assembly

Improve communication among GECOM, political parties, civil society, and elections observers, possibly through the establishment of a liaison office

Ensure appropriate legal remedies are exercised in considering challenges to electoral results

Improve the speed of vote count reporting, possibly through electronic transmission of preliminary results

Implement expansive voter and civic education program, focusing on ensuring correct and consistent information is disseminated regarding elections and voting processes

Revitalize the Task Force on Local Government Reform, specifically areas of allocating the greatest number of seats possible on a constituency/ward basis

Conduct a comprehensive review of the electoral system and legislation, based on the International IDEA audit and systems review
