A framework and clear guidelines should be developed for the media to be able to screen paid for political advertising to ensure consistency in applying taste and decency as well as other legal standards. A committee composed of members of the media community should be established prior to any future elections to guarantee consistency across all media in the application of these standards. All political advertising during the election campaign period should be required to carry some form of identification.
